Leading Today with Tomorrow’s Technology

Pureflow embraces the latest state-of-the-art technology in the water treatment industry. As new technologies emerge, our team of experts investigates and develops specific advancements to enhance current and future applications. Leading-edge technology is a hallmark of every PFI system.

Pureflow utilizes the latest in water treatment technology for the entire water process train.

Technologies We Manage

Pretreatment & Filtration

Pretreatment is defined as any water treatment step performed prior to the primary treatment process, such as filtration prior to deionization. From removing suspended particles to organics, chlorine to chloramine, water softening, or chemical injection, Pureflow has the right technology for you.

Pureflow utilizes several various methods of pretreatment:

  • UV treatment
  • Depth filtration
  • Media filtration
  • Activated carbon filtration
  • Water softening
  • Chemical Injection
Pretreatment and Filtration

Reverse Osmosis

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is considered the heart of the water treatment process. Pureflow designs, builds, installs and maintains RO units from 0.25-gpm up to over a thousand gallons-per-minute.

Deionization

The process of deionization (DI) is also known as Portable Exchange Deionization (PEDI) or Service Deionization (SDI), and is often used interchangeably with Demineralization.

Pureflow operates its own state-of-the-art regeneration facility. To ensure the highest quality, each DI tank has its own unique serial number which allows us to track and document tank specific data for compliance purposes. Pharmaceutical manufacturers value our expertise as they maintain compliance with constantly changing federal regulations.

Electrodeionization

Electrodeionization (EDI) is a state-of-the-art technology that combines membranes with traditional ion exchange resin. An EDI stack uses electrical current instead of chemicals to constantly regenerate, eliminating the need for Portable Exchange tanks and on-site regeneration thereby reducing end-user operating costs.

  • Smaller footprint
  • Eliminates off-site regeneration
  • Eliminates chemical handling
  • Consistent water quality

Ultraviolet Technology

Ultraviolet Technology (UV) is used in both commercial and municipal applications ranging from high purity water to recreational water, including aquaculture. UV is best known for environmentally friendly usages in:

  • Microbial Control
  • Chlorine / Chloramine Destruction
  • TOC Reduction
  • Ozone Destruction

Ozonation

Ozonation is becoming a very popular sanitization process. This technology offers numerous advantages compared to other sanitization methods:

  • Ozone is stronger than chlorine and hydrogen peroxide and therefore more effective in killing microorganisms within a few minutes of contact time.
  • Ozone is a powerful and fast-acting oxidizing agent.
  • Ozone is generated on-site, in comparison to chemicals that require outside replenishing, storage and handling.
  • Ozone can easily be removed from water by UV light to leave no residual compounds in the water.

Pureflow has an ozonation system that will fit any need. We can design and install a permanent system for your facility. If your needs are only temporary, we have portable units available.

High Purity Piping and Storage

Your point-of-use water quality is essential to your production uptime. We understand your critical needs and assist you with a distribution loop and storage design that protects the integrity of your high purity water. Compromise is not an option for your water quality, nor is it for Pureflow.

At Pureflow, we use all types of piping for distribution systems:

  • PVC
  • PP
  • PVDF
  • SS

All Pureflow installation crews are factory trained and certified in the latest pipe welding technologies:

  • SIB (Smooth Inner Bore)
  • IR (Infrared Butt-fusion)
  • Socket-fusion
  • BCF (Bead and Crevice Free)

Controls and Instrumentation

Whether you prefer manual control of your system or a completely automated system, we can design a package that meets your need. We utilize the latest PLC and HMI technology. All panels are custom-built and tested in our UL-approved panel shop.

Pureflow is pleased to make available to our clients 24/7 remote monitoring. Visit the Online Monitoring page for more information.

Clarification

Clarification allows operators to take a dirty water stream, and produce clean water immediately, concentrating the fines or solids to a thick state. This solution can be provided in either a stationary or mobile state.
